In our modern day and age, we spend more time inside than ever. When we spend time indoors, we can be affected by poor air quality and not even realize that it’s causing trouble for us. If you have respiratory troubles that seem to come out of nowhere, watery or itchy eyes, chest tightness, or sore throat, there’s a chance that it may be the result of poor indoor air quality. Of course, we’re not doctors, so don’t take this as a diagnosis.
Poor indoor air quality can be caused by a seemingly endless amount of things. Your air conditioner could need a thorough cleaning, it could have standing water, or it might not be moving air efficiently. If you use a lot of strong chemicals, the odors from these can linger in the air for quite a while. And the dust in the air can contain pet dander and dust mites.
